Lawrence McKenzie Allred

Lawrence McKenzie Allred, age 95, passed away December 8, 2014 in his sleep. He was born September 30, 1919 to Albert and Helen Marie Redden Allred in Vernal, Utah He joined the Air Force and served in India for four years during World War II. He met and married his sweetheart Paula Fowler in 1950. He started working for Searle Electric, working most of his life in the Oil field, retiring from Chevron. Lawrence was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints serving in many callings; including in the Vernal LDS Temple which he loved the most. Lawrence enjoyed his family and spending time with them. His home was always open. Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, & wife. He is survived by his sons, Lawrence Wayne Allred; Paul (Jane) Howard Allred; daughters, Deborah Lorraine Stalker (Leslie), Della Christine (Mark) Humpherys; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Glines LDS Stake Center (Aggie Blvd.) Friends and family may call at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. and at the Chapel from 9:45-10:45 prior to the services.
