Leola Bodily Atwood

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Leola Bodily Atwood, age 77, passed away on August 19, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to Althea Rogers and Robert Dallas Bodily on September 9, 1939 in Vernal. She married her love Ruben Atwood on January 18, 1958. Ruben passed away May 4, 1982. They were sealed for time and eternity September 9, 1983. She worked at Split Mountain Motel for many years. She loved to crochet, cook, and spend time with her family. She is survived by her children; Darla Fay (Leon) Roush, Sylvia Lynn Atwood, Clifford Leroy Atwood, and Cindy Lou Neilson(Tadd Hiner), 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sisters; Almea Powell (draper, Utah) Arthela Eby (Quapaw, Oklahoma), and brother; Clayton Bodily (Indiana). She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Ruban, grandson; Brandon Harden Neilson, sister; Lorene Burns, and brothers; Veral Bodily and Marion Bodily. Leola was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Naples 2nd Ward LDS Chapel. Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and 1 hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
