Leon Ray Wilson passed away January 3, 2022 in Vernal, Utah. He was born January 18, 1940 in Idaho Falls Idaho.
Leon served in the Navy and later participated in the America Legion. He married Carol McCarley.
Leon enjoyed archery, bowling, golfing and camping, but most of all he loved his family. Carol is the love of his life. He was a proud father of three wonderful children. In his later years he became a grandfather, he loved his grandkids they added years and youth to the end of his life.
He survived by his dear wife; Carol, children; Jeff Wilson of Farmington, UT, Jacob (Tonya) Wilson of Vernal, UT, and Carlie (Dustin) Hinkle of Vernal, UT. 4 grandchildren, Wyatt Wilson, Cora and Kit Wilson, and Presley Hinkle, siblings; Jay Wilson, George Wilson, Don Wilson, Phillip Ross, Danny Ross, Colleen Hamaker, Johnny Ross, and Jim Ross.
Leon is proceeded in death by Fenton Wilson, Ruth E. Ross, Johnny Ross, George Wilson, George Ross.
Thanks to Canyon Home Health and Hospice Care and Vernal Beehive Homes, Chad and Misty Hall for their loving care they gave Leon.
Funeral services will be Saturday January 8, 2022 at 11 AM at the Uintah Conference Center in Vernal. Viewings will be Friday 6-8 Pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary
and Saturday at the conference center 10-10:50 AM
Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park
with Military Honors from the American Legion
