LeRoy Luck

LeRoy Luck passed away February 14, 2025 at his home in Vernal. He was 85 years old. Leroy was born on December 8, 1939 to Jedediah and Ethel Barker Luck. LeRoy married Barbara Jean Anderson in Roosevelt Utah on August 17, 1962. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple with their children in 1969. LeRoy and Barbara were blessed with three children, Margo (David) Weeks, Roger (Carol) Luck and Kathy (David) Domgaard. They have seven grandchildren (Madison, Trevor & Austin Weeks, Annie Hadden, Emily Luck, Dustin and Alex Sprouse) and seven great grandchildren.

Leroy was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish, hunt and trap. Family outings were always in the outdoors camping, fishing and hunting. LeRoy graduated from Uintah High School and served in the National Guard. He worked for Dowell for a few years before obtaining his electrical license. He was then self-employed as an electrician for many years. He enjoyed gardening and grew a large garden every year supplying many friends and neighbors with fresh produce. LeRoy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved to attend the Temple. He and Barbara traveled to the Provo Temple for many years and then attended here in the Vernal Temple. He served as a High Priest Group Leader, Elders Quorum President and in the Sunday School Presidency as well as a faithful home teacher for many years.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, children and two brothers, Jerry Luck and Gerald (Nila) Luck, all of Vernal. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Arzy, Eva, Marjory, Marie and Morris, and granddaughter, Madison Weeks.

 Funeral Services for LeRoy will be conducted Friday February 21, 2025 at 11 am at the Glines LDS Stake Center

Viewings will be Thursday 6-8 pm at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and Friday 9:45-10:45 at the Church 

Burial in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery
