Linda Jean Birchell

Linda Jean Billings Birchell, age 61, passed away at her home in Vernal, Utah on June 16, 2016. She was born in Vernal on July 29, 1954 to Callis Frank and Vera May Smuin Billings. Linda was the youngest of 5 children and lived her whole life in the basin. She married her lifetime sweetheart, Dell R. Birchell on June 2, 1972 in Vernal. They were married 44 years and raised 4 children. Together, Linda and Dell ran their business, B&B Roustabout Service, for over 20 years. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and friend. She loved camping, dancing, the ocean, and especially spending time with her husband, kids, grandkids, family and friends. She is survived by her husband; Dell, children; Devin Ray, Cody Don, Justin Dell, and Ashley Jean Warby, siblings; Terry Billings, Marla Hall, and Calene Wales, and 11 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother; Russell Billings. Funeral services were held Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vernal 1st ward LDS chapel with viewings Sunday evening from 6-8 at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and 1 hour prior to services at the chapel. Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
