Linda Marie Collier Gross passed away on March 23, 2022 with her family by her side. Linda was born October 13, 1948 to Wayne and Helen collier. She was the 2nd of 6 children.
Linda married her High School sweetheart Scotty Gross on October 19, 1964 in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple on August 27, 1977. They were blessed with 3 sons.
She enjoyed spending time on the mountain with her family cutting wood and being outdoors. She loved gardening and working in her yard and had one of the prettiest in the county. For many years she could be found at the ball park watching her sons play ball, helping in the concession stand, keeping score and keeping Ted Taylor lined out. Both families were good friends for years. She enjoyed going to trap shoots with Scotty and the boys. They also enjoyed being at the race track with their many horses. Her other hobbies were boating, crocheting and reading books.
She worked for 10 years at IFA until her and Scotty started their own trucking company, L & S Trucking where she could be found working by Scotty’s side.
Linda is survived by her Husband Scotty, children George Scott(Sherri)Gross Jr of Vernal, Dustin Nile Gross of Casper, Wyoming, 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, siblings Kathie(Brent) Jackson, Terry Collier(Gayle Wernsing) and Coy Collier.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Karl Wayne Collier and Helen Marie Winters, Son Michael Shane Gross, sister Robyn Boyde, brother Matt Collier and her in-laws George and Joann Gross.
Funeral Services for Linda will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 at 11 AM at the Uintah Stake Center (2500 East 4000 South)
Viewings will be held Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and Monday at the Church from 9:45-10:45 AM.
Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
