Lloyd Elden Brady
October 15, 1929 - September 28, 2024
Lloyd Elden Brady peacefully passed away in his home on September 28, 2024, at the age of 94 in Vernal, UT.
Lloyd was born on October 15, 1929, to Elden Brady and Edith Rasmussen in Mount Pleasant, Utah. Lloyd often talked of being raised by wonderful parents and grew up in Bridgeland, UT. Lloyd graduated from Duchesne High School. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Northwest States Mission. He went on to serve in the Army for a short time and graduated from LDS Business College with a degree in accounting.
He was married to his sweetheart, Gay Alaire Wagstaff in the Salt Lake Temple on June 5, 1953. They had four children, Lori, Lorna, Larry and Dee. Lloyd had a deep love for his children and grandchildren and throughout his life made sure that each one always felt special and loved.
He was the most wonderful example of compassion and service. He was called as a Bishop for the Wells Nevada Ward. Every act of service he did, he did quietly and humbly and never wanted recognition for these acts.
Lloyd was not an idle man. He was able to learn many different trades; from farming, to accounting, to bricklaying, and truck driving. He loved to work, and work hard.
Lloyd is survived by his children, Lori (Allen) Fisk, Lorna Brady, Larry (Jennifer) Brady, and Dee (Sherrie) Brady; his siblings, Emma Lee (Ron) Lisonbee, Darlene Peterson as well as 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his first wife, Gay Alaire Wagstaff, second wife, Beverly Long; parents, Elden Brady and Edith Rasmussen Brady; siblings, Carol Ann Jackson, James Manford Brady, and Jay Lee Brady; and son in law, John Cannon.
