Loraine Chivers Lewellen, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Vernal. Loraine was born April 27, 1931 in Vernal to Acael and Pearl Pace Chivers. Loraine married the love of her life JT Lewellen they had two children. JT and Loraine were married in Craig, CO. in 1953. Loraine worked for Del Webb in Arizona for many years after retirement they returned to Vernal. She enjoyed her years of service in the Vernal LDS Temple, Humanitarian Leader, as well and many other callings within the church she loved serving others. Loraine made beautiful quilts, loved to crochet, gardening, canning, and spending times in the outdoors. She is survived by her husband JT Lewellen, son Rick (Gayle) ; step-daughter Nila Riding; brother, Pink (Mary) Chivers; sisters, Reta Kimball, Wanema Butcher, Faye Dudley, Hazel Biesinger; brother in law Lamoine Cameron; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Norma Jean Meador; sisters, Doris Chivers, Dora Cameron, Baby Girl Chivers, brother in laws; Ben Kimball, Dean Butcher, Larry Dudley, Phil Biesinger. Brother and Sister-in-laws Rusty (Dollie) Lewellen, Carl (Ruth) Lewellen and Lawerence Lewellen. Funeral services for Loraine, will be conducted on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Davis 1st ward LDS Chapel (3990 South 1500 East). A viewing will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12:45 -1:45 both viewings at the church. Burial in the Vernal Memorial Park, under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
