Lula May Kendall was born 25 February 1941 in Vernal, Utah. She was the third child of Harold Ralph and Mary Mirl Karren Kendall. Their first three children were born in Mirl's parents home in Naples. The family moved to Bonanza, Utah where Harold was employed, before Lula was old enough to start school. She attended grade school in Bonanza and they moved back to Vernal in July of 1955. Lula attended and graduated from Uintah High School. She worked at the five and dime store for the Barnett's until she moved to Salt Lake and went to work for the Cordin Company as an Electrical Engineer. She did years if schooling in between starting and retiring. Lula was a talented artist and shared her work with family and friends. She loved working in the yard and always had many beautiful flowers. Lula loved to go hunting, fishing, and camping with her family. She collected antiques and teapots and spent many hours doing her hobbies. She was dearly loved by her nieces and nephews and spent time with them. They had many wonderful memories of her. She loved Christmas and cooked and decorated for the holidays. She was devoted to her parents and always took care of them. Lula left this earth, Saturday 18 March 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brothers; Harold Dalvis and Marlene Kendall of Rangely, Colorado; Darris Levi and Sherry Kendall of Vernal, Utah; sister, Batty Lee an Ervin Smuin of Terreton, Idaho. Many nieces and nephews. Her adopted family Shary and Marilyn Hartle. Shary has been with her through the hard times and the good times and been a sister to Lula. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. A viewing for family and friends will be Friday evening from 6-8 and one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
