Mae Kump Warburton was born in Chester, Sanpete County Utah and at the age of six weeks moved to Lapoint, Utah where she lived for the next 94 years. She married her sweetheart, Earl L. Warburton on March 5, 1934. Solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple December 18, 1964. They made a good life together on the family homestead in Lapoint, Utah, Where they raised their five children. Shirley Kay (Buck) Rich, of Ballard, Utah: Earlene (Loyal) Johnson of Fruit Heights, Utah; Glee (Doug) Rasmussen of Lapoint, Utah; Nyle (April) Warburton of Vernal, Utah; Cindy (Craig) Jenkins of Coral Springs, Florida. Earl and Mae had 22 grandchildren 79 great grandchildren 52 great-great grandchildren and 5 great great-great grandchildren Yes really 5 great-great-great grand children. She is also survived by her brother Cloyd (Bonnie) Kump of Santa Clara, Utah: sister Bonnie Uresk of Roosevelt, Utah; She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Earl War Burton, 9 brothers and sisters, father Zachariah Kump sr. and mother Sarah Reynolds Kump. Mae was a lifelong faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings including Young womens President, Primary President and Relief Society president two times. She served as primary music director in Lapoint ward for 20 years and as a visiting teacher for most of her life. Her faith and her family were her life. Her favorite things were family gatherings and family reunions where she could gather her family around her and sing her favorite songs. She always said those were the best days of her life. She loved music and had a lovely alto singing voice, singing in many choirs and programs with her sisters and others. She was resident of the Beehive Home in Vernal for the last four years of her life. She loved the staff of the Beehive home and appreciated the help and friendship she received there. She will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her for her positive attitude and cheerful disposition. She always looked for and found the good in others. Mae passed away from natural causes on March 30, 2014 at the Beehive Home in Vernal, Utah. She will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday April 4, 2014, at11:00 a.m. the Lapoint LDS Ward Chapel, Friends and family may call at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary, Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the Chapel 9:45 - 10:45 prior to the services . Burial will be in the Lapoint Cemetery, services have been entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
