Mark Hatch left this world on the morning of May 22nd, 2012 at the age of 59 at his home in Vernal, Utah. Mark E. Hatch was born on April 4th, 1953 in Vernal Utah to Enis and Leah Mae Hatch of Tridell Utah. Mark was married to Sue Searle on August 17th, 1972 in the Ladder Day Saint Salt Lake Temple. Mark is survived by his children, Ruthann Hatch, Mary Gata (Isei), and Sarah Fluckiger (Brett) and four grandchildren; Brooklyn Sue, Ama Sue, Kendrick Mark, and Emmett Lee. He is also survived by his parents as well as 9 siblings; Sandra Wallen, Marita (Tom) Oaks, Christine (Ray) Martinsen, Kathleen (Dennis) Sharp, Scott (Tammy) Hatch, Carol (Todd) Massey, Connie (Dan) Brown, Brendi Hillis, and Cynthia Hatch. Mark graduated from Uintah High School in the class of 1971. He completed auto body and fender training at Utah Valley Technical College. Mark worked at several body shops in the local area throughout his career. Mark was known for honesty, work ethic, and the high quality of his work. Mark was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in various callings within his church. He valued greatly his time spent in the Young Mens program and in scouting. Mark was an outdoorsman who enjoyed time spent in nature hunting and fishing. Time spent with his nephews in the outdoors, or just around the yard was always time well spent in Marks thinking. He had intelligence for fixing anything, which his daughters took great advantage of. His skill in working with wood lead to many beautiful pieces of furniture in his home, as well as the homes of family and friends. Mark had patience for teaching, which he used to share what he had learned from his life experiences with those he cared for. Mark was a kind and considerate father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. His presence will be missed greatly in the lives of his family and all those who cared for him. Mark always strived to be his best and he was a good man. All who knew him are stronger for having been a part of his life. Funeral services were held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Uintah LDS Stake Center in Vernal. Viewings were Thursday evening from 6-8 at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and 1 hour prior to services at the Chapel. Burial was in the Lapoint Cemetery under the care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
