Mary T Hatch

Mary Terue Cloward Hatch, daughter of Boyd and Oma Cloward, was born on August 17^th, 1939, in Los Angeles California. Mary was 1 of 5 children. Her siblings are Mina, Terri, Allen, and Butch. Mary passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday January 7^th, 2024, at the age of 84. 

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She was married to Milburn Junior Hatch.  They spent much of their time living in the Dutch John and Vernal areas.  Together they raised 4 daughters and 3 sons (Sherry, Susan, Lori, Robert, Cory, Steven, and Joni).  She was a foster mother to several children while raising her own as well.  Mary has 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren.  All of whom she loved and cherished. 

In her younger years Mary’s favorite hobby was horseback riding.  She was a member of the Dina Spurs riding club.  Mary always loved the outdoors. Camping, and hunting were among her favorite activities. She spent many hours later in life doing genealogy work for her family.  Mary retired from her full-time work as a secretary for the LDS seminary.  She loved working with the kids.

Mary was a fun loving and kind person.  She had a great sense of humor.  Some of the grandchildren can recall the spooky bear stories she would make up while camping. She always thought it was so funny to spook the kids just a little.  No matter how little she had, she was willing to help someone less fortunate. She was always happiest helping others. Those of us left behind will miss her. We know she is happy and healthy in Heaven and is reunited with her loved ones that have gone before her.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 10 am at the Naples 2nd Ward Chapel (1500 East  2313 South). Viewings will be Friday evening 6-8 pm  at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and Saturday 9 am to 9:45 prior to services

Burial in the Vernal Memorial Park.
