Max Arden Mclean

Max Arden Mclean, age 81, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away October 9, 2014 peacefully with his wife and family by his side at his home in Vernal. Max was born in Vernal on July 15, 1933 to Ernest Eugene and Marie Britt Mclean. He went to school and graduated from Uintah High. He was a mason most of his life started out working with his brother Eugene and Phil Murray, He then had a brick business on his own. He married Mary Rudy on July 9, 1971 in the LDS Temple in Logan Utah, He had two children Robert Max and Kellie Jean, and Mary's family Jeffery Lynn, (Diane) and David Paul (Marilee) Donna Marie, Robert Rudy (Bonnie) and they added Joseph Arden, making 7 children in all. He worked for the PM group and retired when he was 65. Max was always a hard worker, he taught his boys to work and be proud of their work. He loved the outdoors was in scouting, he taught the boys how to be good scouts and good campers. He worked in many position on the stake and word level. He was a Bishop of Maeser 3rd Ward for 5 years. Max was father to 7 children and 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Mary and his family. sister Carolyn (Eddie) Slade Funeral services will be Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Maeser 3rd Ward Chapel (2575 North 1500 West) friends and family may call at the Blackburn Mortuary Sunday evening from 6-8 and at the Chapel from 9:45 to 10:45 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. www.blackburnvernalmortuary.com
