Maxine Taylor Fazzio Mapleton, Utah - Maxine Taylor Fazzio, 72, died December 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. Born July 1, 1942 in Roosevelt, Utah to Leslie and Audrey Whitlock Taylor. She married Joseph Fazzio on December 23, 1963 in Roosevelt. Maxine graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1964. Prior to moving to Mapleton Joseph and Maxine resided in Albany, Oregon for approximately 34 years. Maxine was a master gardener and quilter. Many of her neighbors, friends, and family would call on her for advice on the best plants to grow or how to make a blanket. Maxine served and associated with various quilting groups and was a member of the local Model A Club. She will always be remembered for her listening ear, positive attitude, and of course her witty sense of humor. Maxine was a wonderful example of unconditional love as she cared for many of her family members and friends over the years. She was always proud of her daughter Denise and appreciated the many wonderful times they had together. Maxine is survived by her husband Joseph and daughter Denise. She is preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the Mapleton City Reception Center friends may call 9-9:30 prior to services located at 125 West 400 North, Mapleton, Utah. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery on December 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. Services are entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. www.blackburnvernalmortuary.com
