Michael George Clabaugh peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father surrounded by his family October 5, 2012 at the age of 65 in Salt Lake City. Dad was born January 7, 1947 to Michael Reuben Clabaugh and Lorianne Pearl Daniels in Casper, Wyoming. He graduated from Natrona High School in 1965. Dad served in the Navy for two years during the Vietnam Era. He was stationed in Morocco. Dad married Stella Campos and had one son, Michael James, in 1972. He then went on to marry Lane Bennion on August 1, 1979 in the Manti temple and had two more children. Dad was a convert to the church and faithfully served in the bishopric, the elders quorum, as a home teacher and in the Vernal temple. Dad is preceded in death by his parents and sister Diane Burger. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Lane, sons Michael James, Daniel John and by his daughter Jennifer Anne. Services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Vernal Stake Center (850 West 100 North). Viewings will be held Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment is at the Vernal Memorial Park with military honors by the American Legion Post 124 and 11. Services were entrusted to the care of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
