Mildred Robinson Brough Haslem, age 90 of Vernal passed away on Thursday October 17, 2013 at the Uintah Care center surrounded by her loving daughters. Millie was born October 6, 1923 in Manila, Utah the daughter of William James and Martha Eliza Moyes Robinson. At only 2 lbs. at birth she quickly became a fighter staying strong thought-out her life. She was a lover of people and a social butterfly wherever she went. She married George K. Brough, later divorced. Married Wayne C. Haslem, later divorced. She worked at Jim s Cafe for many years and loved her final position as a door greeter at Wal-Mart where she met many people who loved her dearly. Millie loved her flower gardens, traveling, and going to Wendover. She lived in several states including Utah, Washington, Arizona, and Alaska. She loved her jewelry and never left home without it. Mildred is survived by her daughters: Chree Karren of Vernal; Louise (Max) Martin of Vernal; LaWanna (Philip) Rodriguez of Roosevelt; LaDonna Haslem (Barry Allen) of Taylorsville. 12 Grandchildren, 31 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter Georgia LaRae Brough, a great grandson Taylor Henderson, her six siblings; Vera, Willie, Fred, Woodrow, Harriet and Lydia Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2013, 11am at Thomson Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends and family may call 9:30-11:00 Burial will be Avalon cemetery, Services are entrusted to the care of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
