Mina May Jorgensen passed away in her sleep on August 22, 2024 at the Uintah Care Center.
Mina was born at home, October 30, 1938 in Vernal, Ut. She graduated high school in 1956. She later met and married Ervin Wendell Jorgensen in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 22, 1958.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her loves were; her husband, children, grandchildren, reading books, specifically Zane Grey, watching John Wayne movies, company of any kind. Every once in a while you could get her to play games or cards, she would protest at first, but then end up having a grand time.
She liked to crochet, and made several blessing dresses for granddaughters and sewed little tuxedos for grandsons.
She spent her time living the gospel to the best of her ability and loving her family
She is survived by her children; Wendell (Bri), Vernal - Aaron (Julie), Washington – Hillary (Tony), Vernal – Kimberly (Cory), Ogden. Brothers; Austin (Bonnie) Kendall, Vernal - Gary (Lynna) Kendall, Vernal. 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She is Preceded in Death By: Husband - Ervin Wendell Jorgensen, parents Charles and Wilma Kendall, Sisters; Beverly Murray, Joyce Boren, Brothers; Sterling Kendall, Lyle Kendall, Grandson, Landon Jorgensen
In lieu of flowers, grab a bucket of chicken and read or watch a John Wayne movie in memory of Mina. Flowers die, but memories last forever.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 29 2024 at 11 am at the Glines 5th Ward LDS Chapel with viewings held Wednesday, August 28th from 6-8 PM at the Blackburn Mortuary and Thursday, 1 hour prior to service at the Chapel. Burial in the Leota Cemetery.
