Myra Lynn (Mann) Lucas ascended into heaven to be with our heavenly father on October 31st, 2021. Myra was born on December 27th, 1943 to Harry and Dorothy Mann in Salt Lake City, Utah. She went on to graduate high school in Santa Ana, California in 1963. Myra was 78 at the time of her passing.
Myra had four children and twelve grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Myra was a hard worker and held a variety of jobs throughout her life. She did everything from tending bar to managing the Super 8 in Vernal for many years. Her various careers and outgoing personality made Myra a well-known figure in the community who leaves behind many friends. Myra enjoyed being outdoors and was known to have a passion for fishing. She also enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles with her son Jon until she was no longer able to. In the later years of her life, Myra was known for giving a loving home to a variety of different animals. She happily cared for dogs, birds, lizards, and cats with equal affection. Myra’s warm, welcoming personality and kind smiles will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Myra is preceded in death by her soulmate Ray Bullock, her parents Harry and Dorothy Mann, her son Jon McDonald of Vernal, UT, her grandson Lawrence Wagner of Vernal, UT and her great-grandson Houston Smith of Vernal, UT.
Myra is survived by her daughters Marcia Godwin of Vernal, UT, Rhonda Palmer of Wichita Falls, TX, and Tonda Jones of Vernal, UT. Myra is also survived by 12 grandkids; Kattie McDonald of Farm Creek, UT, Tara Underwood of Wichita Falls, TX, Nicole Engle of Vernal, UT, Jonny McDonald of Billings, MT, Jared McDonald of Vernal, UT, Chase McDonald of Las Vegas, NV, Sommer Velasquez of Indianapolis, IN, Nichole Denham of Wichita Falls, TX, Shayne Marsicano of Wichita Falls, TX, Jimmy Ray Baker of Wichita Falls, TX, David Wagner of Vernal, UT. And Sister Janice Nan McKeachnie
A memorial service for Myra and her son Jon will be held at the Uintah Conference Center at 1 p.m. on November 7th, 2021 in the paradise suite, followed by a last ride starting at 2:30. Riders will proceed up Dry Fork canyon to the McConkie Ranch and end with everyone gathering at the Gateway Saloon to celebrate Myra and Jon’s lives. Anyone is welcome to join whether or not they have a motorcycle.
Services will be held Sunday November 7, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Uintah Confrence Center.
