Our Beautiful mother Nellie Alberta Dobbs, has gone to be with the angles on March 13, 2016 at her daughters home Betty Jean McCurdy in Tooele, Utah, where she had lived with for the last 10 years. She was born to Albert and Nellie Collier Jones on February 7, 1932 the oldest of her siblings. She was single and raised five children while attending Stevens Heniger College. She worked for the Forest Service for many years but was a jack of all trades; she could operate heavy equipment, worked as a fire fighter, a seamstress, a painter, and she loved music, the mountains and traveling. Nellie and her daughters, Betty Jean and Janeel traveled throughout the United States stopping in all of them all except Hawaii. She loved everyone she met. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jean McCurdy of Tooele, Utah, Dawna Raymond of Tucson, AZ, Janeel Baimbridge of Willis, Texas; her brothers, Alma L. Jones and Harold D. Jones; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Gary Earl McCrudy and David Clyde McCurdy. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. A viewing for Family and friends will be one hour prior to the services at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park, under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
