Paul Breshears

Paul Edward Breshears was born October 1, 1942 in Rife, Colorado to Paul Sr. and Glendene Breshears. He passed away April 24, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family after a short but fierce battle with cancer. He married Doris Carpenter, had two children Gene and Peggy, they later divorced. He then married the love of his life Sharon Walston and her two boys, BJ and Marty who became his sons. Together Paul and Sharon had one child, Jenny to round out their family. Paul worked in the oilfeld, in many different capacities, and after retiring from Coastal he fulflled his lifelong dream of starting his own business as an oilfeld consultant. Paul was a very avid outdoorsman, and to say he enjoyed hunting is a huge understatement, the only thing he loved more was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of forty years, children; Gene Breshears, Peggy Thompson, BJ (Monica) Walston, Marty (Malissa) Walston and Jenny (Justin) Forbis; grandchildren, Sharity Schiltz, Leslie (Laura) Schiltz, Devin Walston, Angel (Kent) Rettig, Lisa Thompson, and Ici and Natas Forbis; great-grandchildren Jaelyn and Braeli Johnson and Yasmin Rettig. He is also survived by his sister Linda Berry, aunts and uncle; Bud and Emma Breshears, and Dorothy St. John; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by both his parents and several cousins. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. @ the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. A viewing will be Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Mortuary and one hour prior to the services the day of funeral. Burial will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery. www.blackburnvernalmortuary.com
