Randel (Randy) James Hacking (1962-2023)

Randel James Hacking, 61, of Vernal, Utah, passed away on December 21, 2023. 

Randy was born in Vernal on October 6, 1962 to Milton and Francis Hacking. Randy had three brothers and two sisters.

Randy was an avid Atlanta Braves and Oakland Raiders fan. He loved to adventure jeep trails, camp in the Uinta Mountains, and snuggle his cat George. He loved anything fast, his corvette, his Harley, you name it he loved it.  He was a hard-working man with over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and known in the industry as “Mange”. Thou family knew him best as “ragget”. 

He was tough as nails on the outside, but had a heart of gold and would help anyone he possibly could no matter the circumstances. He always had so much love to give others. He was a great grandpa and loved to make the grandkids laugh.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Mike Hacking, Don Hacking, and sister, Nita Hacking Henline Brunner. He is survived by his wife Shannon Hacking, his three children, Chaz Hacking (Rowyn), Shea Hanberg (Mitch), Connor Hacking, and step daughter Savanna (Michael) Smith, 2 grandchildren Gracie & Easton Hanberg, Aunt, Marketa Cooper (Aunt Skeet), brother, Dan (Konni) Hacking, sister, Mary Ellen Hacking, and and many nieces and nephews.
