Our son father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, and son, Ray E. Gilley, age, 59, passed away June 2, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born January 1, 1955 to Raymond Arthur and Darlene Elliot Gilley. Ray married Patricia Carter. He joined the U.S. Army from 1974 -1981. Serving in Alaska, Germany, Dugway, Proving ground Utah. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ray enjoyed gardening, camping, hunting and fishing with his friends and family. He had fun hunting big game with his daughters and Derbying with his son. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Arthur Gilley; brother, Scott; and son, Christopher. He is survived by his wife, Pat, mom, Darlene; children, Shauna, Brandi & Jeremy; his siblings, RaeLene, Doug (Rakeyl), Brenda (Bob), Brent (Linda), Traci (Kurtis) and Troy, Bruce (JaCoy); grandchildren, Alicia, Alexis, Bryan, Nick, Damon, Drayden, Gage, Gabrielle and numerous family and friends. Funeral service will be Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. @ the Naples 1st LDS Ward chapel. Friends and family may call at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary, Thursday evening from 6-8 and at the Chapel from 9:30- 10:45 until time of services. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park with Military Honors provided by American Legion and Utah National Guard, Services have been entrusted to the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
