Raymond Todd Parker

Raymond Todd Parker, 53, passed away August 21st at his home in Taylorsville, Utah. Todd was born June 6, 1962 in Seminole, Texas. As a young child, he moved with his family to Vernal, Utah where he grew up. Todd was very active in sports including Little League Baseball, high school football and dirt-bike motorcycle riding. He loved being outdoors, he played in the Softball World Series in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1988 and was classified as a Level II AFF skydiver. He graduated from Uintah High School in 1980, attended Snow College, Ricks College, and Utah State University. He received a bachelor's degree in Finance from USU. His academic achievements included membership in the Golden Key National Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and various academic and leadership scholarships. Todd served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Washington-Spokane Mission from October 1983 to April 1985. Todd worked in the banking finance area for many years and was currently employed by Zions Bank as a Vice President and Private Banking Relationship Manager. Todd was an avid golfer and loved spending time on the golf course. He was driven to achieve a perfect game. He especially loved spending time on the course with his son, Tanner. Todd was kind and thoughtful and loved by all who knew him. He came to the aid of many friends and family members over the years. He also had a wonderful sense of humor that was appreciated by everyone. Todd is preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Joe and Eloise Allen Parker. Todd is survived by his former spouse, Shelly Fogleman Kobuta and their son, Tanner Parker of Taylorsville, Utah and his two step-sons, Tyler and Trevor Wiseman; sister, Rebecca (Steve) Boss of Fayetteville, Arkansas; brother, Stuart Allen(Tarie) Parker of Vernal, Utah; nieces, Shamberlee Guymon of Vernal, Utah; Tiffany Crozier of Roosevelt, Utah, Erin and Sarah Boss of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and nephew, Treavor Parker of Vernal, Utah. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 11:00 am in at the Rockpoint Chapel (2575 North 1500 West). Family and friends may call at the Mortuary, Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 and at the Chapel Tuesday from 9:30-10:45 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
