Rella May Jenkins Smith, age 95 of Vernal and Tridell, Utah passed away at her sons home in Tridell on December 17, 2012. She was born in Freedom, Wyoming on April 26, 1917 to Phillip E. and Ida May Haderlie Jenkins. She attended school in Star Valley, Wyoming, and then married Theron Smith in 1941. They later divorced. Rella work in various jobs, including driving truck during WWII, at the Postal Service, and as a school bus driver for Head Start. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings. But she most enjoyed working in the Primary with the children. She also worked with the youth in 4-H and Cub Scouts. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, horses, butterflies, and pansies. She was an excellent seamstress. She is survived by her brother; LaVere (Rose Ellen) Jenkins, children; Jay (Leone) Smith, Etta May (Rex) Tinker, Carolyn (Kevin) Frampton, Renn (Kimberly) Smith, Bryan (Jeanne) Smith, and Kevin (Tami) Smith, 17 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, son; Len Smith, and 5 siblings. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
