Rhae Wilkins

Our wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Friend Helen Rhae Wilkins passed away peacefully June 10, 2013. Rhae was born Feb 8, 1923 to David Howarth Karren and Sadie Belle Bourdette Karren at a home in the Ashley Ward, Vernal, Utah Rhae spent her childhood on Blue Mountain, Wolf Creek and settling in Jensen and Vernal areas attending School. She graduated from Uintah High School. She married Harmel Jolley. They were later divorced. She then married Ervin Lloyd Wilkins Jan 13, 1951 in Colorado and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City temple March 10, 1965. Rhae worked many years at the Dudley Egg farm in Jensen. She then worked twenty years for her oldest son David Jolley at his Chevrolet dealership in Vernal. Rhae was a very good gardener and always had a beautiful flower garden as well as a vegetable garden. She spent many hours working in it with the grandkids at her side. She was a talented seamstress, making many beautiful clothing for her children and grandchildren. She had many jobs in the Jensen Ward. She loved to travel and go on the Wilkins Bus Lines. She had many great friends including Laura Chew and Ila Peterson. She loved and admired her four children, David(Linda) Jolley, Karen (Agee) Spidle, Creg (Lynn) Wilkins, Rex (Deb ) Wilkins. She had 19 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by death by her parents, her brother Guy Karren, and sister Beth Bay, two grandchildren, Stacey Spidle and Agee Spidle. And one great grandchild Tyler Jolley. The funeral will be held at the Vernal Blackburn Mortuary Thursday, June 13, 2013 with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a service. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park. Under the care and direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
