Heavenly Fathers special angel, Rhonda Laurie Fladeland Ruppe, was called home into his loving arms on December 16, 2020. She an active and devoted member of the Vernal 4th Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Rhonda loved the Gospel. She loved her Father in Heaven and her beloved Brother and Savior Jesus Christ. Her sweet spirit and testimony radiated that love to everyone she came in contact with. Rhonda was endowed, married and sealed to her family in Manti, Utah Temple.
Rhonda passion was, and will always be, her kids. Not just her kids, but all of their friends and kids of extended family and friend. Rhonda was “Born a Mom” and loved loving caring for everyone.
Rhonda’s was born on January 7, 1974 in Worland, Wyoming to Kelly and Sharon Fladeland. She grew up living between the Uintah Basin in Utah and Delta Colorado.
She loved the peaceful rural life and engaging with nature wherever she was. Like Mary Poppins, she always found, in every job that must be done, there was an element of fun. That fun often involved driving through nature whenever possible and taking in the beauties and peacefulness therein. Her positivity shined through in everything she did, including naming her dream car, “Silver Lining”.
She and Silver Lining could often be found taking quite drives through the mountains, looking at Christmas lights, or vacationing wherever she could connect with one or all of her kids.
Even as a girl, Rhonda loved to cook. She understood and practiced the concept of good nutrition and natural preventative and healing practices.
Rhonda loved learning and reading. She was always studying up on whatever thing it was that her kids were involved or interested in. That way, she could support them in whatever they were doing. She loved studying every bit of information or program on self-improvement that she could find. She loved and faithfully read and studied her scriptures and the Come Follow Me Manuel and oved sharing the things she learned with her Family Home Evening Group.
Rhonda’s faith and commitment to the Lord was an example and beacon to everyone around her. Her kids always called her to pray for them. They knew her prayers were effective because “Mom was tight with Jesus.” Bryce commented that he always knew he was protected while on his Hitchhiking adventures and traveling the globe because he knew his mom was praying for him.
Rhonda held many jobs, including working with her dad at Premier Services, Readers Roost, being an Avon Lady, A NuView Auto Glass, Delivering for UPS and working as a classroom Aid for the Special Education Program in the Uintah School District.
But in every job she ever had, she always said she never worked for anyone but the Lord. She always found a way to turn her job into serving Him. Her church callings included Webelos Scouting, working in the Young Women’s Program, and as her kids recall to the Relief Society Presidency in every-ward they ever lived in.
Rhonda was always there for everybody. When she would get wind of something special going on in someone’s life, she would quietly research the details and then, without fanfare or recognition, show up to support them.
Her Mantras were “Light and Fluffy” and “Divine Choreography”. She recognized, understood and accepted her Heavenly Fathers hand in all things. She did her best to find joy in everything she did. She loved scrapbooking. More specifically, making homemade cards for all occasions, the Backstreet Boys, and more recently, anything Trace Akins. Her infectious smile and laugh brought so much happiness to everyone she met. Her fun, adventurous and often spontaneous personality will always be remembered and cherished.
Rhonda will be deeply missed and forever loved by those she left behind. She is survived by her beautiful children, Bryce, Branden (Briann Spence), and Teracina (Austin Eisenman). 3.5 grandchildren: Jorie, Madison, Isabella and one yet to arrive. Parents, Kelly and Sharon Fladeland; sister, Joni Hooper, Father and Mother-in-law, Jack and Reita Ruppe, Brothers-in-law, Lorn and Cindy, Scott and Carrie, Daniel and Sherry; sister-in-law; LaDawn and JaRee and Doug as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her Grrandparents, brother-in-law, Cal Ruppe and sister-in-law Tralynne Migliori. Rhonda’s love and devotion will always be a cherished legacy to everyone whose lives she touched.
