Richard Ford "Dick" DeJournette

Richard Ford "Dick" DeJournette, age 93, of Vernal passed away at his home December 21, 2014. He was born March 11, 1921 in Vernal to Ford and Rosalie Miles DeJournette. He worked as a Government Trapper and is the last original of the old bunch Diamond Mtn. Sheep man; He loved ranching and singing at many programs with his "Pard" Ron Walker. Dick married Daun Taylor Huber. He is preceded in death by his parents: siblings Earl, Neal and Faye, Stepsons Rex Huber and Ralph Huber He is survived by his wife, Daun; step-son, Ray Huber, Mrs. Ralph (Loretta) Huber; sister, JoAnn (Glen) Hatch; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary. Friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the services all at the Mortuary. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery, services are under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
