Robert Leroy Casper

Robert Leroy Casper, age 86, of Dinosaur, Colorado, passed away July 27, 2024 after a short illness , in Murray Utah at the Intermountain Health Center.

He was born December 11, 1937 in Diller NE, He was the son of Roy and Pauline Casper. He was raised in Diller and Lincoln NE. ROBERT ( Bob) started working at a very young age. He had a paper route, he helped his grandfather at the lumberyard, he started working at BF Goodrich when he was in high school as a part-time job. After he graduated Lincoln high school in 1956, he then went to work for AMF tire company, as the main troubleshooter for commercial retread machines around the U.S.. Bob was later transferred to Denver Co. from which he retired from after 25 years of dedicated service. He then moved to Dinosaur Colorado, a town he discovered in the 1970s when he came out hunting in the area. Bob later bought a business in Dinosaur, where he met his soulmate, Glenna Emmerick and they spent years together hunting and enjoying shooting sports, with both winning several shooting matches, until she passed away in 2007 . He lived the rest of his life in Dinosaur, and enjoyed every minute.

Bob was an avid outdoors man, A excellent marksman. Also an expert reloader, and an avid gun collector. He shot in all kinds of competitions and was also a member of the NRA. He also supported many charities in his life time.

He had 2 daughters Cathy Cooper deceased, and Lori Richardson of Denver, Colorado . He leaves behind a stepdaughter, Cindy Armstrong of Florida and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his daughter Lori (Bill) Richardson, Sister Phylis Casper of Omaha Nebraska, and Sister Pamela Casper of Lincoln, Nebraska.

In addition to his daughter Cathy, he is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pauline Casper and his brother Dennis Casper.

There will be a Celebration of life for Robert Lee Casper a.k.a. Bob Saturday, September 7, 2024.
