Rose Irene Murray

Rose Irene Murray, age 78, of Vernal, passed away at the Uintah Care Center on June 5, 2018. Rose was born April 21, 1940 in Altonah, Utah to Charlie Maynard and Wanda Rose Bassett Bowden. She married her sweetheart George Neil Murray on April 11, 1955 in Jensen, Utah. Rose worked for a couple different business such as, Dudley’s egg farm, Saddle Tree Company, Ashton’s, / Safeway’s, and Insurance for Capital America. Rose was a Christian in faith. Rose enjoyed spending time hunting for arrow heads, gardening, playing cards with her kids; “Wahoo & Keno,” marbles, camping in the mountains, helping George farm and spending time together.

She is survived by her children, Dianna (Craig) Obermueller of Mesquite, NV; Doreene Reynolds of Jensen; Robert Neil Murray of Vernal; 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren; sisters, Marylou (Duane) Boren of Vernal; Coleen (Johnny) James of Orange, Texas; Donna (David) Thompson of Trapper Creek, Alaska.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Deb Turney; grandchildren,  Joe Price, Kim Turney & Kristopher Schatz; great-grandson, Trevor Obermueller; sister, Lila Goodfellow.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary. A viewing will be from 9:30-11:00 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Jensen Cemetery. Under the care and direction of the Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary & Cremation Care
