Sandra Powell Aldridge, age 76 of Vernal, passed away from cancer at her home on May 4, 2014, with her granddaughters holding her hand. She was born September 26, 1937 in Cedarview, Utah to James Lott and Iva Ellen Nelson Powell. She loved growing up on the family farm and "running the hills" with her large family, and friends. She graduated from Union High School and then married Thomas Samuel Aldridge. Together they had 3 children; Bruce Thomas, Lana Ellen, and Johna Aldridge. Sandra was the owner of the Bargain Barn in Naples, Utah for over 25 years. She had the ability to find worth and value in items she bought and sold. Sandra also found great value in the people around her and made them feel priceless. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many callings through the years. Sandra cherished working in the Vernal Temple and her time with the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. But her time spent with her family and her love for them was by far her greatest treasure. She was known for her unique personality, quick wit, sense of humor and zest for life. She will be missed so much by those who knew and loved her. Sandra is survived by her daughters; Lana Fullbright and Johna Aldridge, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Throughout her illness she often said, "I don't want to leave my babies."
