Sara Arlene Sorrells Antillon

Sara Arlene Sorrells Antillon, age 37, passed away unexpectedly at home in Vernal, UT on Fri, Aug 16, 2024. Sara was born Nov 25, 1986 to Jaylene Oaks and Robert Sorrells. Sara grew up in Vernal, UT and graduated from Uintah Highschool in 2005. In 2012 she graduated on the Dean's List with an Associate's Degree in Business Management and Accounting from Stevens-Heneger College. 

She married the love of her life, David Antillon, Jr on Aug 1, 2015. Sara was a published poet with a passion for writing. Among other creative pursuits, she excelled at drawing and quilting, winning awards for both throughout her lifetime. She was a lover of music, and often used it to communicate her love to the people around her. 

Sara loved her family and friends with a fierce loyalty, selflessly stepping in to help whenever she was able. She had a tender heart for her children and animals, and was rarely seen without her Pomeranian, Jazelle.

Preceded in death by Father Robert Sorrells, Step-Father Raymond Oaks, Grandfather Jay Slaugh, and Niece Gracie Mae Stewart. 

Survived by Husband David Antillon Jr.; Children- Maggie, Haylee, Brookelynn, and Alekiah; Mother-Jaylene Oaks, Siblings- JR (Sylvana) Sorrells, Angie (Eric) Wilcock, Mandy (Seth) Stewart, Nathan (Courtney) Oaks, Kisha Gardner, Jeramy Oaks, Nieces and Nephews- Jayden, Jaxon, Dalton, Renlee, Shyanne, Whitney, Tessa, Harper, Ashlynn, McKenna, Jacelyn, Ryleigh, Camron, and Carson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 at 1 PM at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.

Viewings will be held Thursday 6-8 pm and again 1 hour prior to the services. Burial in the Rockpoint Cemetery.
