Scott L Timothy, 62 of Vernal, Utah, passed away Aug 21, 2020 at the Ashley Regional Medical Center. He was born 3 Oct 1957 to LaVon Kay and Shirley Irene Scott Timothy in Vernal, Utah.
He married Elva Doylene Holmes Brackett May 2, 1997 in Vernal, Utah. In 2008 he was blessed with a baby girl Linlee Timothy. He was very close to this little girl. He loved his family and enjoyed doing things with them. His nieces and nephews loved their uncle Scottie very much. He was a kid at heart and always would be. He played war games, horse shoes, ball and many other games with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Scott was raised in Bonanza, Utah until he was about 7 years old. He loved to be outside and play, he played trucks and ball.
Scott lived in Vernal most of his life and worked in the oil field. He worked on work over and drilling rigs, for Halliburton, National Cementers and BJ Oil Services where he was boss of a crew.
He loved to fish, hunt, camp, and tinker with mechanical things. When he was little he took mom’s new sewing machine apart and put it back together and it still worked. He loved to take things apart and put them back together.
He also loved tractors, when he was about 4 he wanted a pedal tractor to ride, dad told him no and he cried and cried. One of the men dad worked with told him if he didn’t get that tractor for Scott he would. Dad already had it for his Christmas.
He is survived by his wife, Doylene his daughter Linlee; brother: Brad Timothy; sisters: Linda Timothy, Sherry (Darris) Kendall, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kay and Shirley Timothy, a nephew Cody Earl Kendall.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 11:00 AM at the Rock Point Cemetery
Viewing at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary Wed from 9:30-10:30 prior to traveling to Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers please Donate to help family with Funeral Arrangements.
