Shirl H Kirk
April 28, 1930 – November 27, 2022
Shirl passed away peacefully Sunday morning at 1:45. He spent the last 3 months convalescing at home. Shirl was born in Magna, Utah to Ray E. Kirk and Merl Hooley. He went to Jordan High School where he met Evelyn Steadman. They were married February 13, 1948 in Midvale, Utah.
They had 4 children; Lynn Herbert Kirk, deceased (Tom Norris),
Ned Alan Kirk, deceased (Connie Conder),
Shirlene Kirk (Casey Mascaro, deceased),
David Shirl Kirk (Barry Henderson),
9 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, and 4 great- great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death his mother, father, brothers, and sisters, Gladys, Leland, Leah, Cleo, Glen, Vera, and one grandson Cody Kirk.
Shirl and Evelyn moved to Naples, Utah in 1987 where they loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shirl and Evelyn served a mission in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1992-1994. Shirl was an avid gardener and loved to share his bounty with friends and family.
Family would like to thank all friends and Hospice members who have been a wonderful help during this hard time.
Funeral Services will be held at the Naples Ward Chapel (2313 South 1500 East) Saturday at 12:00 Noon. With a viewing held from 10:30 – 11:45 am prior to service.
Burial will follow at the Rock Point Cemetery under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
