Smokey Rasmussen

Smokey Rasmussen passed away January 25, 2024 in Vernal, UT. He was born March 10, 1947 to Louis C. and Retha Neilson Rasmussen in Vernal, UT. 

Smokey joined the United States Air Force during Vietnam. 

He loved playing 3 ball and being a pool-shark. He was a Gentlemen’s Rancher that loved his ranch and farming. He loved his cows and always looked forward to calving season and having the babies around. Smokey was a joker and a socializer. He like his Peppermint Schnapps. Smokey loved spending time with family and friends and his “Bro” Rance, they were best of friends.

He married Roselee Jackson, July 15, 2000. 

Smokey is survived by his loving companion, Roselee Jackson Rasmussen, daughter Alicia May Rasmussen, of Helena, MT. :Step Children J.P. Beth and Monica grandchildren, Renae, Destry, Sloane, Siciliy, Taley, Clayton, Kolby and Penny and 3 great – grandchildren; Keigan, Clayton, and Aedyn, brother Rance (Hosey) Rasmussen. 

He is preceded in death by his Step daughter Julia Keebler, Son Bryan Rasmussen 'Korth parents; Louis and Retha, siblings; Rockey, Cherry Lou, and Cody “Bill”.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11 am at the Vernal Memorial Park.

 A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 am at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary prior to graveside service.
