Stuart Lloyd "Bud" Weiser passed away Dec. 3, after a two and half year battle with lung cancer. He was born in Porterville, California, the son of Wilford Lloyd Weiser and Beverly Ann Weiser. Bud was a strong willed, stubborn and kind soul with a heart of gold, who would help anyone that expressed the need. There were two sides to Bud, the one his friends knew and the one his family knew and loved, and will miss every day. Bud enlisted in the Army when he was 17 years old, right after graduating from Sierra High School in Whittier, California. He was a Vietnam veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. An experience that changed him and his life forever. He was a member of the Veterans of Vietnam Motorcycle Club in Vernal, until he could no longer participate, and was fiercely proud of both. Bud is survived by his son, Wesley Weiser of Murray; daughters, Sheila Weiser of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Rachel Weiser and Nicole Weiser of Flint, Michigan, Brittanie Weiser of Vernal, Michelle Preston of Edmond, Oklahoma, Cameron Weiser of Huntington; his sister, Debra Wilson of Vernal; his brother, Jon Weiser of Jensen; his nephew, Michael (Amanda) Wilson; nieces, Mari (Jim) Whimple, and Kari (Ty) Williams of Cedaredge, Colorado; and five grandchildren. Bud was preceded in death by his father, Wilford Lloyd Weiser; his mother, Beverly Ann Weiser; and his sister Marian Deone (Sis) Ellis Estep. There will be a memorial in Bud's honor Friday, Dec. 16, at 2:00 p.m. at World Vision Assembly of God Church, 444 W. 400 N. in Vernal. All friends and family please come. We would also welcome anyone that would like to share any memories at that time. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near still loved, still missed and very dear.
