Sybil passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with an advanced stage Emphysema, COPD, and early stages of Dementia.
To say Sybil was a super hard worker is an understatement. From her small horse ranch at the house, to the racetrack at Western Park, her love of family and her horses shined through everything she did. With horse racing in the pedigree, Sybil and Fred traveled all over racing and showing their horses to the horse community. Later in life, Sybil could always be found entertaining in the kitchen or on the mountain, sharing her love of cooking and the great outdoors. She always surrounded herself with her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids, and many close friends… you could even say she was the life of the party. After Fred’s passing, Sybil could always be found bar hopping with her friends or giving the folks at Dan’s Tire a hand.
She loved what she did and did what she loved, surrounded by many who loved her. “Judas Priest” Sybil, you left without saying goodbye. You will be in our hearts forever.
Sybil is survived by her sons; Rusty (Theresa) Phillips and Casey Phillips, her grandchildren; Tiffany (Larry) Duncan, Brandt (Gina) Emery, Kaylee (Kyle) Butler, Emily (Adam) Edwards, Natalie (Tyrell) Hunting, Sydney Phillips, and Taylor Phillips, 14 great-grandchildren, her siblings; Scotty Gross, Larry (Karen) Gross, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Frederick Phillips, her daughter Tina Phillips Emery, great-granddaughter Liv Ann Edawards, parents George Scott and Joan Ainge Gross sister-in-law Linda Gross
