Troy C Davis passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2021 while at mountain biking practice with his family, friends, and members of UHS mountain biking team. Troy was born on August 15, 1970 to Clair and Linda Davis, in Price UT. He married Mariel Goodrich and share 6 children together.
Troy graduated from Uintah High School and attended Utah Valley Community College, and later graduated from the Police Academy.
Troy is a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints and served an LDS mission in Sydney Australia.
Troy spent 22 ½ years serving as a police officer for Vernal City Police Department where he spent the last several years working as a school resource officer.
Troy loves his family; they are most important to him. He enjoyed machining, politics, travelling, mountain biking, or anything he could do with his family. He was a kind, quiet, and compassionate. He loved working with the kids in schools. He is a protector of his family and the community. He was very patriotic and believed in preserving the rights of citizens. Troy faithfully served God and his community.
He is survived by his wife, Mariel (Goodrich) Davis, his parents Clair and Linda Davis, his children, Hayden Troy (Erin) Davis, Aliya Madeline Rich, Breanna Marie (Caden) Nerdin, Ashlen Layne Davis, Randon Bryan Davis, and Taegan Troy Davis. His grandchildren Kayson Troy Davis and Noah Scott Davis. His siblings, Ryan Davis, Brandon Davis, and Ashley Ashworth.
