Wanda Olsen Jorgensen's passed away peacefully in her home on Friday January 28, 2017. She was 91 years old, born on April 3, 1925 In Emery, Utah. Wanda was the second daughter of George Que Olsen and Bertha Case Olsen. She married Harry Lewis Jorgensen on June 18, 1947. Harry passed away on May 11, 1984. Wanda grew up in Emery, Utah. She loved Emery and described living there as the perfect childhood. She moved to Price, Utah in 1953 and lived there for 2 years where Harry went to work for Halliburton. They moved to Vernal in 1955. They bought a home in Vernal in 1962, where she continues to live for 55 years. Wanda graduated High School. She volunteered at the hospital for several years, was a wonderful home-maker and an active member of the L.D.S. Church. Wanda developed Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 38. She was optimistic about her M.S. and always went above and beyond to raise her family. Even with obstacles at hand she continues to be independent and hard working. The last five years of Wanda's life she was bed ridden but wished to stay in her home. With the help of her loving family and the girls at Good Shepherd she did just that. Her family would like to thank Good Shepherd for the special care they gave their mother. Wanda is survived by 1 of her 4 sibling's; Roma (Ted) Van Buren. By: 7 of her 8 children, Larry (Cindy) Jorgensen. LaRee (Neal) Julander, Cathy Massey, John Q. Jorgensen. Julie (Jim) Justice, Tammy Jorgensen, Terry Jorgensen, daughter-in-law, Raelynn Jorgensen, 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her son, Calvin Jorgensen, and her sister Norman (Rodney) Anderson, and brother's Eugene (Pat) Olsen, and Gary (Cathy) Olsen. Funeral services will be Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Glines 3rd Ward Chapel (475 West 100 South). A viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from 6-8 at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary and at the Chapel from 9:45-10:45 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
