William “Bill” Jack McNamara passed away October 8, 2024 at his home in Vernal, UT. He was born April 6, 1941 in Williston, North Dakota to Donald Eugene and Edith Helen McNamara. Bill loved socializing, yard work, being outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting, boating or being at a baseball game. Above all he loved being with his family.
Bill made a living operating heavy equipment and was the Red Fleet Dam Supervisor which brought the family to Vernal. He working at Wheeler Machinery and retired from North American Coal after 22 years.
Bill married Loretta Jean Wilson on September 5th 1963. Together they have 2 sons, Randy and Brian.
Bill is survived by his dear wife Loretta, sons Randy William (Tonja) McNamara, Brian Dale McNamara, grandchildren; Taren (Brooke) McNamara, Haden (McKenzie) McNamara, Dacen McNamara, Ragen McNamara, Brady McNamara, Whitney (Aaron) Dick, Jimmy McNamara, great- grandchildren; Stevie & Sawyer McNamara, Calvin McNamara, Bennet Dick, and many family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother Tom, and parents Edith and Donald McNamara.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 12 noon at the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary, with a viewing held 1 hour prior to service, Burial will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
