WaNeta Biorn Lamb was born in Black Foot, Idaho, on April 25, 1931, to Lawrence Paul Biorn and Annie May Call. She died in Hurricane, Utah, on Oct. 2, 2022, at age 91. WaNeta grew up near Manila, Utah, where she married Duane “Buck” Lamb on Aug. 16, 1950. They had four children, Mike, Terrie, Gracie and Paul. She loved reading, learning and classical music. She had a beautiful voice and was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Teaching Gospel Doctrine and early-morning seminary were her favorite callings. She taught for the Daggett County School District for 21 years and was recognized for her dedicated service to the students. After she retired, she moved to Vernal, Utah, then served in the England London South Mission for the LDS Church after which she worked in the Vernal LDS Temple. She lived with her daughter, Terrie, in Washington, Utah, for the last 14 months of her life.
WaNeta was preceded in death by Buck, Mike, Paul, her brothers and sisters. Survivors are daughters, Terrie Lemon and Gracie Lamb (Bruce Smith); grandchildren, John Gutz, Emily Kwon (Kai Jimenez) and Sarah Kwon (Jimmy Black), Tabbitha Roux, Diannah Hughes (John), and Chris Lamb; great-grandchildren, Athena, Angel, Caiya, Karenza, Leina and Kaizer; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11 AM in Manila, UT at the Manila LDS Chapel with a viewing held 1 hour prior. Burial will take place in the Manila Cemetery under the care of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
